Shopping day

Had planned to try baking a double chocolate chips chiffon cake I saw from another blogger’s site, but my plan was “ruined” by my shopping kaki when she asked me to go shopping with her at Parkway Parade as they are having a ‘Crazy Sale’ today. Basically almost all the shops are having discount and some even have items on sale at special price today. Bought a stainless steel ring for $12, a pair of diamond studs earrings for $59, even grab a pair of spectacle frame which is going for $1 each (provided you prescribe your glasses with them) and a couple of other things. Its been years since I last had an eye check and was expecting my degree to go up since I have been spending long hours in front of the computer, and too lazy to wear my glasses. To my surprise, my degree actually went down. My mentality of myopia is that it will either maintain or go up, didn’t know it actually goes down in some cases. Initially I even doubt the reliability of their machine, until I had another thorough check again before I am convinced that my degree has gone down. This is good news to me. =)

Also bought this muffin mix at a shop selling Korean products as I was captivated by the delicious looking muffins on the box.  

But the instructions are all in Korean so the Korean sales lady showed me an English translated version which I guess was done by her. I had to scribble down the instructions on the spot. Will try out someday and hope this is tasty.  

I somehow still feel very unsatisfied despite all my shopping today and end up baking a chocolate macadamia cheesecake which I learned from one of my class but have never try out yet. It is still baking in the oven now. Will post the outcome tomorrow.
